SAVFPV is Alex Mason.

Professional remote pilot from Savannah, GA, holding a PART 107 license. Happily married to Nicole Mason, Owner of Ivory and Beau Bridal, and parents to two beautiful children. His passions lie in design, technology, and science to name a few, but mostly evidently in music where he has been a well known drummer locally for years.
Ever since he was a child, Alex has been fascinated with how things work and the thrill of flight. At the tender age of three, he began flying and competing with stunt kites, ultimately winning multiple awards and gaining recognition as one of the youngest competitors on a national and international level. At just 17, he even represented his country in the Freestyle World Cup held in France where he received 5th place.
His passion for engineering and technology began well before high school, where he served as the captain of the robotics team. Today, Alex is an manager of Mechanical Engineering Team designing Aircraft Interiors and CNC programmer fabricating aerospace parts of every type, a journey that was guided by a lifetime of tinkering in the garage alongside his father, grandfather, and eventually his uncle.
Obsessed with everything remote control, Alex's childhood dream was to become a pilot or an astronaut. When that dream didn't materialize, he turned to the next best thing - remote control aircraft. In 2014, his stepdad gifted him a toy RC helicopter, and the following year, his sister gave him his first drone. After a year of flying a store-bought drone, he took his passion to the next level in 2016 after watching the Drone Racing League on television - Alex decided to build his own drone from scratch.
From there, Alex's journey took off. He dedicated himself to developing his own SUB-250 gram racing frames, meticulously designing, programming, and fabricating them in the comfort of his own home. But he didn't stop there - he has now set his sights on his next project, building a heavy lift rig for cinematic FPV for the film industry. Fuelled by his partnership with local firm AlienWorx, Alex is determined to bring brand new possibilities to the local drone industry, pushing boundaries previously only seen on the grandest of movie sets.
With his engineering prowess and unwavering passion, Alex Mason continues to raise the bar for remote pilots and is set to leave an indelible mark on the world of aerial cinematography.
